Deep Throat Sputum Sampling

1. Wash your hands thoroughly. It is recommended to complete the test in the morning before brushing your teeth and rinsing your mouth.
2. Inhale and exhale deeply, repeat three times.
3. Coughing sputum from deep in the chest.
4. Spit the sputum (light yellow/green) into the sputum tray.
5. Carefully remove the sterile swab from the wrapper and avoid touching the tip to any foreign surface.
6. Using the sterile cotton swabs provided, mix the sputum until it is completely covered.
7. Allow the test specimen and the New Coronavirus Antigen Rapid Test Module to reach room temperature.
8. Using the needle tip of the bottle cap, press down to pierce the sealing film on the top of the bottle.
9. Remove the large cap from the dropper bottle and place it vertically on the work surface with the protective top of the dropper cap facing down.
10. Pour the reagent into a dropper bottle, insert a cotton swab into the diluent of the dropper bottle and rinse the swab in the solution for 30 seconds in a rotating motion. Squeeze the tube and agitate the swab 5 times.
11. Squeeze the dropper bottle while removing the cotton swab from the bottle. Then safely dispose of the used swab.
12. Screw on the cap of the large dropper. Shake the bottle gently for 5 seconds to mix the diluent.
13. Remove the protective top from the dropper cap, squeeze and discard the first two drops of sample with the sputum collection tray. Then squeeze the remaining 3 drops into the sample hole of the test strip.
14. Wait for 15 minutes.
15. Read and record the results immediately.
16. Place all test materials in a plastic bag and clean your hands thoroughly.

Interpretation of ARISTA New Coronavirus Antigen Rapid Test Stick Results

Negative result: The quality control mark “C” is shown as a red bar, the test mark “T” is blank.
Positive result: The quality control mark “C” and the test mark “T” both show a red band.
Failure result: The quality control mark “C” is blank and the test mark “T” is blank or displays a red bar.
