He further explained that high levels of the stress hormone cortisol in the body, or changes in cardiovascular function, could be potential contributing factors to cognitive impairment.<\/span><\/span><span data-string=\"true\" data-enter=\"true\" data-leaf=\"true\">\u200b<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"ace-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-node=\"true\"><span data-leaf=\"true\"><span class=\"lb\">Furthermore, Dr. Chen Zhenzhong, an internist, also cited a study from the University of Exeter in the UK, which clearly indicated that developing lifestyle habits such as regular exercise, maintaining a balanced diet, abstaining from smoking, and controlling alcohol intake can help reduce the risk of developing cognitive impairment. This study conducted an in-depth analysis of approximately 200,000 participants of European descent aged 60 or older. The results showed that among those who strictly adhered to a healthy lifestyle, the proportion who ultimately developed cognitive impairment was less than one percent, fully demonstrating the importance of healthy habits.<\/span><\/span><span data-string=\"true\" data-enter=\"true\" data-leaf=\"true\">\u200b<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"ace-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-node=\"true\"><span data-leaf=\"true\"><span class=\"lb\">Doctors Lei Yongchang and Chen Zhenzhong jointly mentioned that in May of this year, the World Health Organization specifically launched a set of guidelines for cognitive health.
